Regional GIS Platform Study
The SCRTPA, together with various project partners in the region, is currently studying the feasibility of an integrated, one-stop online platform to house and exchange regional geographic information system (GIS) data. Notifications of upcoming meetings as well as agendas, documents, and minutes from past meetings will be posted here as they become available. Overall Work Program (OWP)
Annually, the SCRTPA prepares a proposed work program (budget) for transportation planning activities for the upcoming fiscal year. The OWP serves as the documentation for federal and state grants that finance the SCRTPA's administration and planning program.

2009 Update of the Regional Transportation Plan
The Shasta County Regional Transportation Plan (RTP) is required to be updated every five years. The 2004 RTP is currently being updated. The draft 2009 RTP and environmental impact report are expected to be available for public review and comment in early November, 2009. Approval of the 2009 RTP is tentatively scheduled for June 22, 2010.
A CEQA initial study and notice of preparation of environmental impact report (EIR) were prepared and public notice was given in September, 2008. A copy of the initial study may be reviewed by clicking on the following link:

2004 Regional Transportation Plan
The Regional Transportation Plan is prepared in compliance with state (California Government Code Sections 65080 et seq.) and federal (U.S.Code Title 23, Section 134 and 135 et seq) regulations governing regional and metropolitan planning and programming and has a 20-year plan horizon. Updated every 5-years, the plan contains discussions on regional transportation issues, problems and solutions, and includes goals and objectives for each transportation mode and area of concern.
